Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books (BOB) promotes reading through introducing different genres and new literature in a game show style reading competition for fourth and fifth grade students. Teams of no more than five students are formed and encouraged to read and answer questions based upon selected titles.
The 2021 competition will take place on Friday, April 30th at 6:30 pm virtually.
Complete the registration form here if you would like to participate (or get more information) about the spring of 2021 BOB. Last day to register is March 15th, 2021.

Get Ready for Battle: Battle of the Books Discussion
Suffolk Public Library's Battle of the Books discussion programs are designed to get you ready for the final competition. These programs happen through Zoom on Monday evenings about once a month leading up to the battles to discuss the books. Registration is required and can be made through the library's online calendar.
On the listed Mondays at 6:30 pm
- January 11th - The Last Kids on Earth
- February 1st - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
- March 1st - The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind
- March 15th - Science Comics: Volcanoes: Fire and Life
- April 12th - The Hero Two Doors Down
