Administrative Services Assistant (Full-Time)

Under general supervision, performs clerical and secretarial duties in City departments. Work involves independently preparing routine correspondence, compiling information for reports, maintaining files of a variety of records, reports, documents and correspondence and assisting in various bookkeeping and clerical support functions. Employee is responsible for screening and independently handling a variety of routine inquiries by telephone and in person. Employee must exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public.

Library Services Coordinator (Community Learning)(Part-Time)

Under limited supervision, the Community Learning Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates programs, events, and other learning opportunities for all ages, abilities and content areas, inside the building, virtually, and in an outreach capacity.  While this position is a generalist, it will focus on providing early childhood and youth services opportunities. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating Community Learning projects and ensures that all services are in alignment with the library's strategic goals and are implemented effectively. Responsible for supervising, training, and evaluating within the early childhood and youth services content area, establishing standards for programming and other learning opportunities, researching and formulating long range goals, developing guidelines and procedures, and planning, implementing and evaluating programs, services, and goals.  Reports to the Community Learning Senior Librarian.  This position is eligible to work up to 29 hours per week.

Library Associate (Part-Time)

This part-time position provides professional customer and information services through in-person, phone and virtual customer service in Suffolk’s various library locations. As part of the Location Services Department, this position conducts reference and readers' advisory assistance, provides technology training and assistance, and provides access to information and resources through the libraries various services. Position schedule is for 20 hours/week including one evening shift per week and every other Saturday.
